Mangoes originated in India nearly 5000 years ago. They fill up hindu scriptures and folklores. In one of the oldest myths, Mango is said to be the daughter of Sun God Surya. It is said that when a mango fruit fell from a tree on the ground, it incarnated as a beautiful princess who was called Surya Bai.
