The Gooseberry is related to tomatillo and shares similarities with its sweetish tomato flavor. Gooseberries also known as Rasbhari, are citrusy, tarty and sweet with mellow earthy undertones. Gooseberries have many soft edible seeds that don't require removal. The texture of the fruit resembles that of a plum-its juice explodes upon biting into the glossy, fleshy skin.
